Beez Thingz is a friendly, family business promoting happy, healthy bees as naturally and organically as possible. The team comprises of dad Kerry with partner/son Julian and eldest son Oliver. Who all work and live together on the farm here in Mangere Bridge. Learn more about the guys and who else shares the farm below.



Kerry McCurdy

Kerry has a long and determined background in farming and farm management spanning Columbia, Asia, Australia and at home here in New Zealand. He's been steadily developing Beez Thingz in his unique style of beekeeping right here in Auckland for over 10 years and now Kerry, with the help of his two sons, is directing the company to achieve new heights in an ever growing world of backyard beekeeping.

Julian McCurdy

Julian started out in an office job dealing with Management and IT support but nowadays he is relishing both the great outdoors and taking charge of managerial duties here at Beez Thingz. Julian has given the company a fresh, young kick with the introduction of new technology such as our online hive management service, My Beez, and with his innovative ideas for refreshed customer interaction.

Oliver McCurdy

Oliver has recently returned from Australia and his career in stone masonry to join our team as Factory Manager. Oliver is in charge of the maintenance and building of our hives, such as our unique Beez Thingz bench hives, the servicing of rented hives and swarm management - not forgetting his 3 boys at home!
